SUNSHIELD 80

Sunshield 80 installed in the entrance halls of
The Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney

Traditionally shaped 80mm 'C' section aluminium slat

APPLICATION
The Sunshield 80 non-retractable louvre blind has been designed for external installation to horizontal, sloping or unusually shaped windows. It is the most effective method of reducing solar heat gain via glazed areas, up to 90% reduction being obtainable. The fully adjustable louvres also control glare, allow outward vision and at the same time, ensure good lighting conditions.
Sunshield louvres provide comfortable working and living temperatures, allow air conditioning plant to operate more effectively and save energy. Sunshield is easily adapted for installation on new or existing buildings and automatic control systems may be integrated with light systems to operate background lighting.
The
Sunshield 80 is particularly suitable for drawing offices, factories and home extensions and has been fitted in many famous botanic gardens and art galleries.
The
Sunshield 80, installed internally, may also be used as a suspended ceiling and wall cladding. Blinds are also available to suit curved glazing (as pictured).

SUNSHIELD 88

Extruded aluminium 88mm slat

APPLICATION
The Sunshield 88 non-retractable dimout blind with interlocking extruded aluminium louvres has been designed for the following purposes:
1. Dimout (approximately 95%) of rooflights, sloping, shaped and other windows in lecture halls, art galleries, operating theatres and multi-purpose buildings such as sports halls and community centres.
2. Fully adjustable sunscreening with reduction of solar heat gain of up to 90% over screened areas when fitted externally. An added bonus is the provision of a trapped layer of air when the blinds are closed which can help to reduce overnight heat loss in winter time.
3. Decorative ceiling when combined with the above uses if fitted internally.
4. For open areas such as walkways, terraces, restaurants, etc, when pitched installations can serve as protection from both rain and sun.

The low loading of approximately 10kg/m² allows the louvres to be installed on both old and new structures.
